Strikers took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal by Brian Bertotti.

Irvine City were playing with 10 men and then Strikers were reduced to 10 when a red card was issued to Ken Takaki in the 30th minute.  Irvine scored before half to level 1-1.

Keith White scored his "annual goal" off a corner kick in the 55th minue, and then Irvine scored the equalizer in the 70th.
